Exciting Update: HB 46 Expands Access to Medical Cannabis in Texas
Starting September 1st, House Bill 46 (HB 46) will go into effect, significantly expanding the Texas Compassionate Use Program (TCUP). The new law will allow patients with additional conditions, like chronic pain, traumatic brain injury, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and all patients under palliative care to qualify for medical cannabis. It also increases dispensary access and introduces new product options, including patches, lotions, and suppositories as well as approved inhalers, nebulizers, and vaping devices.
