Texas Compassionate Use Program
Do You Qualify for Treatment in Texas?
Answer a few questions about your condition and a TCUP-registered clinician can tell you whether you may qualify — no office visit required.
Next Steps
What Happens After the Quiz
The quiz is a starting point, not a decision. Texas law requires a clinician evaluation before any prescription can be issued.
See if your condition may qualify
The quiz covers the conditions included in the Texas Compassionate Use Program (TCUP).
Book a telemedicine appointment
By video, from anywhere in Texas. $160 for a 12-month certification, $75 for an as-needed appointment.
Meet with a TCUP-registered clinician
They review your history and condition and determine whether you qualify under the program.
Your prescription is entered into CURT
Texas does not issue a physical card. Approved patients are enrolled in the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas — the official state record. We also provide a virtual certification card and approval letter in your patient portal.
Eligibility
Conditions That May Qualify
House Bill 46 took effect September 1, 2025 and added six conditions to the program.
Chronic pain is the newest and broadest addition — many Texans who did not qualify a year ago may qualify now. A clinician evaluation is always required, and eligibility is never guaranteed.
